Since March 2015, Thomas Tossmann (39) and Gernot Schmidt (45) have jointly been in charge of business for the international fastening experts KVT-Fastening in Austria. The management duo succeed René Rieder, who left the group at the end of February.  Thomas Tossmann is in charge of the Finances, logistics and administration sectors, while Gernot Schmidt is responsible for marketing in Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania. The main logistics centre for the CEE countries is sited at the Austrian location in Asten. "We will be expanding our market presence in all countries in the coming years. We aim to continue concentrating on our main speciality of solutioneering under the umbrella of the Bossard concern – the development of solutions for highly-specialised technical requirements“, states Thomas Tossmann, Managing Director of KVT-Fastening.

Since 2009, Gernot Schmidt has been responsible for the marketing of 46,000 products from blind rivet nuts to entire access systems, with his staff of 20 specialists in all seven markets of KVT-Fastening. The qualified metallurgist Gernot Schmidt can look back on many years of experience as marketing manager in Eastern Europe, and he expresses his vision for the future in this way: „"Every market has its own laws, its own culture, and we intend to be even more flexible in the future in responding to the requirements of customers and to continue to follow the successful path we have taken oven recent years".

Thomas Tossmann came to KVT-Fastening as Commercial Manager in Asten in 2013 and is now promoted to the board. Now 39, he studied Production and Management and Economics, gaining experience with Engel Maschinenbau, Linsinger, HTI AG and Primetzhofer Fahrzeug- und Stahlbau. "My aim is to continue optimising the logistics expertise of KVT-Fastening right along the supply chain and ensure consistency in the combination of quality and consultancy", sys Tossmann. In his leisure time, he likes to relax with his family enjoying road cycle racing or in studying various aspects of history.
