In the new D9 Southco combines the advantages of a quarter-turn lock with those of a captive screw

cb4southcodzusd9_id2766

The new D9 Tech Line quarter-turn lock by Southco is quickly locked or unlocked by simply turning it  90° by hand, saving time and without using any tools. As both parts are permanently attached to the carrier material, as in the case of a captive screw, there is no risk of the locking components falling off or getting lost. The tension specified ensures that there is always a positive lock and due to the special geometry of the locking tongue it is protected against vibration.

In addition, the D9 is extremely flexible in its installation: it can either be installed with rivets and press-in sleeve or using reflow soldering in cases involving SMT. The quarter-turn lock is available in a large range of tongue lengths as well as with "Prisma" heads in many different colours. Due to the markings of different colours, the D9 can be individually suited to the application design and can be used to indicate different entry points, such as in industrial applications to indicate electrical, switchgear and telecommunications equipment.
